Lefrik understood the problem when the brand was founded in 2012.
The Lefrik brand contributes to the environment by reducing the use of regular polyester (one not made from recycled materials) and helps extend the lifespan of discarded plastic bottles while saving energy during the manufacturing process.
Producing recycled polyester is better for the environment, it creates 75% less CO2 emissions than regular polyester. Lefrik has even been certified as a vegan brand by the animal welfare organization PETA.
The Lefrik brand was born to cater to travelers and city commuters by providing the most fashionable and functional bags for what they define as - "the modern nomad."
The brand offers consumers access to innovative products that maintain a modern look, but also contribute to the effort to protect the environment.
For example, Lefrik produced 50,000 backpacks in 2018 = which were made with 650,000 plastic bottles = which were converted into 9.7 tons of recycled plastic yarn. Each bag from the brand uses 14 recycled plastic bottles.
